Cefiro headlights and HIDs

For those with cefiro headlights and no projectors, please post pics of the output with HIDs. I know its best to just retrofit them with projectors, but I'm not looking to go that far as of yet. Is it worth it to just put in H4 HIDS, because the output on the regular bulb is better than 9004 but still sucks. If anyone has pics, please post.

i used 7000k on my cefiros when i had them. its pretty much what youd expect for a halogen housing. two large blots on the ground but plenty of light sprayed out. unfortunately i dont have the pics anymore but im sure there are plenty of people on the boards who do.

You need to add whether you mean the OEM cefiros or aftermarket/"smoked" style. The OEM cefiros had very HID-friendly beam patterns but the aftermarket ones left a bit to be desired IIRC.

I have smoked cefiros. So Mr****s95SE, would you say it was worth it? I basically am looking for more light output.

yeah i had the smoked as well. if you want a really really good light output, go with HID projectors. but if you just want brighter but better than halogen and the looks and also spend less money, just go with regular HIDs. if you plan to go with the latter, remember to aim it lower because it will cause a lot of glare and mad drivers. i also had cf eyelids so that cut down the amount of glare.
a friend of mine had the oem chrome ones and the beam pattern for halogen was great. i dont know if itd be the same for HIDs since its so bright.

good luck!

Smoked Cefiros
9004 HID KIT( originally bought for OEM headlights)

I'm sure the output would be better with H4's..
But here are some pics... the lights are off the car now, gonna retro
Hope this helps

Lord, that is a screwed up pattern... but not surprising since your using a 9004 kit on a H4 based headlight (and non OEM to boot)...

Then it's gotta be due to the non OE Cefiro stuff... The OE have a nice cut off and "ramp up" pattern...
as you can see from the "startup" video above.
