Harnest pin outs?
Harnest pin outs?
Does anyone have a link to a diagram so I know what wire does what in behind the BOSE stereo on 1999 Maxima SE. I know there are 4 harnest. 2 For the climate control, and two for the bose head unit. I need to know the pin out of these 2 harnests that are for the bose stereo. I want to connect my Clarion MAX675VD to it, so when I need to remove my stereo there is no need to re-solder.
Just a diagram would be sweet ***!

the word is HARNESS. and go buy a harness adapter. plugs right into your cars harness. only thing youw ill have to do is remember to connect the amp turn on for the Bose system. (assuming you are going with the factory speakers)

Lol, I spelt it wrong lots. lol. It wont just work like that you talking. I know what I want and thats the pin outs. I have to have a switch to jimmy rig my in dash dvd player so i can watch while driving, so, one pin for that. One pin for amp on. I am am using the harness u are speaking of, which would work great if i was using the bose speakers, but I am not. I also have after market Boston speakers that I incorporate into the harness. I might not be able to spell but I know what I want... the Pin outs!!!
well. again you would use the harness. and as for the wire to watch tv while you are driving (although i have no idea why you would want to do that) all you have to do is ground the bright green wire. If you are using an amplifier for your speakers, then you dont need pinouts, you need to run speaker wire from the amp to the doors. If you are not using an extra amp but plan on replacing the speakers and going around the Bose, then you use the harness i suggested and the rewiring would occur at the speakers, not behind the radio.
Ok, as you can tell from the first link / pic here, I have completely wired the clarion harness into this other harness I used with my old deck.

The front...
Pretty hey?

In the picture notice I have already modified the "car end" of the harnest to incorporate my swtich (for video while driving) and After market amp I use for my subs. I will also be cutting more wires from there (the ones that use to go to the BOSE speakers. At the moment I have aftermarket Mid's and tweeters that I run off the head unit. There is nothing BOSE left in my car BUT the wires, Which im going to gut during this project.

My switch for video playback

My diagram I have made for the "STEREO SIDE" of the harness

See what I am getting at now and why I need the PIN OUTS for the "CAR SIDE" of the BOSE harness.
hope this makes things clear.

all of that was completely unnecessary. but i wish you luck. the pins are the exact same except for 1 extra wire which is the Bose Amp Remote Wire. (I forget which of the 2 empty locations it is in). and the word is HARNESS.
ruthless, I have a electrical system factory service guide. Shoot me your e-mail (via pm)and I'll fire it off to you if you want it. I'm not sure if it'll help you or not, but it's worth a try.
