Ok...what am i missing, also injector wires Q
I researched and researched and i dont think i'll have too many problems during the swap, but right now i just want to make sure everything i need is here. I'm re-using my DE coilpacks, and using the 5th gen IACV, so the plate will be for sale after my swap.
Gaskets-can i re-use my stock LIM to Head gaskets if they look fine? My motor only has 96k miles.

On this last picture, i dont know which one of the pins is positive and which one is negative. I know i'm supposed to connect stripe to stripe and solid to solid, but first i need to know which one of these pins would be the solid and striped.
One more question. There is a CRAPLOAD of gunk all over the LIM and TB, and some on the UIM. I'm just going to take some throttle body cleaner and go at it. Is this ok? I'm just wondering if i'll get any fluid stuck in the UIM.

Didn't get the injector clips for the DEK injectors? Also won't be able to use the DE coil packs with the DEK rear valve cover. TB cleaner will evaporate so no worries. Might as well just buy new gaskets for the lower, they were pretty cheap IIRC but looks like you'll need the one between the upper & lower... unless it's still attached to the upper in the pics.
Ok, i got the stock stuff off and new lower/fuel rail put on. I still have no clue what to do about the injectors because they're not hooked up to a harness or anything. I'm thinking about just trying to make the stock harness work on the new injectors by breaking it apart and 'fixing' it on the new injector.
Thanks for teh coilpack/valve cover suggestion, i'm using my stock valve cover now so i can use stock DE coils.
need injector question answered, i pretty much gotta finish this by morning!!!!!!

As far as im concerned, the 00Vi wont sit flush with the stock 4th gen valve cover, UNless u grinded the tabs down and relocate the PCV vavle nipple....... so unless u already had that part figured out, i dunno how ur gunna finish by morning!!
I figured out injectors, we just modified the stock injector clips and no need for cutting or soldering anything. I'm just going to wrap the whole wires/connectors with electrical tape to be on the safe side.
I'll be back if i have any further questions, and i probably will when its time to hook up the vacuum hoses.

Couple of tips: plan on it taking a couple of days longer than you expect - and have arrangements for alternative means of transportation for wherever you're going to need to go the day after you were expecting to have it all done. And expect to have to run to the local Autozone/Kragens/Carquest right in the middle of your swap. Having a car to borrow beats having to ride a bike. And quicker too.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
