You went from the nicely-designed, good-looking factory HID headlights to that garbage? No offense, the rest of your car looks great, but what gives?

Not as long as he does a retrofit with TSX projectors. Then his headlights > yours and mine.

P.S. Do the retrofit.

thanks everyone, reasoning for those headlights are as follows.... i suppose the owner before me got the hid's jacked and put in the 00-01 headlights... my mom decided to clean the INSIDE of them with bleach... ate the chrome lining off... ebay was the cheapest route to go with decent looking lights... car wasnt fitted for hid either it was already wired for bulbs.... not my 1st choice but i think they look good... ebay catback too lol...i like it sounds great

looks good man. i prefer the 4th over 5th gens but yours is nice. my 2 cents: the projectors look good, they look like they would be great for angel eye circles. and the amber in the tail lights always bothers me on any car

I agree it would have looked much better if you baked your OEM HIDs, and painted them black, calipers black too, and clear corners smoked, it'll flow much better. BUT vvvvvery nice paint and style none the less. good job!! do those other thigns when you're bored and want a small mod to do.

I like the headlights....I wouldnt mind some pics of them at night and your own opinions on their function, such as how they look at night, how the angel eyes look, light output, etc. My 01 headlights are pretty much toast...Im looking to change mine out as well. Everyone says retrofit them with TSX projectors, but I have no idea how, how much it would cost, or who could even do it for me....

1) Cut out the car (using polygon lasso)
2) Create a copy of the car in a new layer
3) On the navigator, control+ click the colored portion of the car (this should outline the car with "dancin' ants"
4) On a PC, ctrl+shift+I to select the inverse
5) select the background layer on the navigator while the ant's are dancin'
6) go to Filter - Blur - Box Blur - set radius to about 8-10 (assuming you have 7.0 or later I believe)
6 alternate) go to Filter - Blur - Gausian Blur - set radius to about 3-4 pixels
Bonus step: If you have a bright colored car and you want it to have more "pop"; with the background layer still selected, press ctrl+U and reduce the saturation and lightness. This will reduce the colors on the surroundings to more of a gray scale, the lightness is up to you and what you're trying to do.
7) Deselect and there you go.

You can skip steps 3,4,&5 by making a copy of the background layer and having it active, then proceding to step 6 and the bonus step.

It works best with darker shots, though by using the bonus step, it can be used for almost any shot. For daytime pics, the same technique could be used to create action shots by simply adding a radial blur to the wheels.
