Parking brake problems....again!
Well last year my parking brake cable snapped while I was at work (believe it or not).
No I dont use it to spin, or use it in snow storms. I use it strictly for parking.
Anyway, I had it fixed in december, and it was great, there was so much tension. Now, its seems like the tension is gone again. The hand brake doesnt start to respond until about 3/4 of the way up, while in december it was responding at a 1/4.
And the strange part is, yesterday afternoon....out of nowhere it had full tension again, but by the evening it was gone.
Whats the problem here?

I think your other parking brake cable (there are 2) is sticking. I would replace it ASAP to avoid toasting the pad/rotor/caliper on that wheel.
The good news is that there are only two parking brake cables, and there are no more to go bad.

yeah that same problem is happening to my brother 4th gen max when his parking brake snapped, his went out, so we had a shop put in both lines, we get it back works great, then couple of months later doesnt work, but was due to not being tight
