Have any of you replaced boots on tierod ends?

I have a ripped boot on one of my tierod end boots and was wondering how difficult it would be to replace the boot without having to disconnect the tierod ends. I was thinking of using a "collapsible" boot since the tierod end does not have the rotating motion like the CV boot does.

Anyone have opinions and/or suggestions, please submit.

Thanks!

not difficult. Take your time and it will be about a 2hr job. Its mainly space constricting, so that is what will consume most of the time.

You'll have to remove the outer tie rod and slide the boot on. If your boot has been broken for a while, it might be a good time to replace the tie rods as well.
