need help identifying this hose

Hi everyone, i think this is the EGR hose, but i'm not sure. Please tell me if it needs to be connected to something. i searched for an hour for the connection, but can't find it.

is it just a blow-off type hose? (i have a 95 automatic). Thanks for any help!

its meant to be connected to the tranny, but dont fret if it comes off, you loose it etc. No need to replace it.
