Stillen Ypipe is that the bees in can sounding flex or which ypipe had that problem. I have someone locally selling a stillen ypipe from a 97 max. what are the opinions on that.

I think this has been more of an installation issue than a design flaw.

Not really. It's because all current designs have unequal length downpipes, whereas the original Stillen (emphasis on original, not it's current one) had equal length downpipes.

not sure, but isnt the stillen a 2 piece design? or is that just the new version. I wish they still made equal length y-pipes.

That is indeed the equal-length Stillen unit. Next time I see one for sale I'm snatching it up, I hate this bees in a can crap.

So there are no companies today that make the equal length y-pipe. Hummmmm i would figure when stillen came out with it, everyone from cattman to budget would follow. Maybe we can get cattman to start production of the equal length pipe.

i have a stillen. never had a bees in the can sound problem. i think its a myth or the people that report did not install properly. probably didnt replace the gaskets at the end of the ypipe.

one thing u may want to think about thought that matters more is that the stillen y is aluminzed steel while others are stainless. aluminized will serve you fine in dry states but if its overly rainy or snows alot, u may want to consider a stainless steel option.

Do any of you equal length ypipe owners have a catback? If so does it drone at any rpm?
