Foglight question

I've been searching for the past half hour and haven't found a direct answer and I don't want to waste my money, so here it is.

I want to get new foglights and was considering the 97-99 fogs since they are a little clearer than the 95/96 model fogs.

Is it possible to install the 97-99 fogs in my 96?

You need the 97-99 bumper cover with the cut outs (SE Model) or do it yourself

Well I used to have foglights but them I slid on ice, went into a snow bank and that was the end of the lights.

I can always get 95/96 lights again, I just noticed that the 97-99 looked a little clearer. So I figured they might work better for what I want. By no means do I plan on changing my bumper.

thats the only way to do it, you need to change the bumper to make the fogs fit.

The 97-99 fogs are a different shape and you will need the 97-99 bumper to do so.

I don't mean to be a pain in anyway,

but why is it that the cut out areas on the 95/96 bumper is insufficient for the 97 fogs?

Well that just sucks. I was looking online for oem fog lights and each assembly for the 95/96 models is $195 a piece.
