I'm 99% sure it's the same as the Maxima's... 4300K, IIRC.

4300K is the stardard.
I think Acura use to use 5500K in some of their
reflector based HIDs.

To my knowledge all Acuras use standard 4300K.

Some BMWs came equipped with Philips 85123 D2S bulbs which were 4900K. And I think some D4S bulbs have a higher color temp as well.

Excellent post. I was thinking about purchasing a 8000k HID kit to install into the exsisting headlights. Do you think the discharge will damage the outer lense of the headlight??

The only difference when changing kelvin ratings is the color temperature - i.e. the color of the light.

You won't damage any part of the light by changing the bulbs to a higher color temp. You will be losing light output though and have a more difficult time seeing in inclimate weather.

Don't go above 6000K IMO, the extra color tires your eyes at night and is worthless in bad weather. Just go to the Group Buy section and get a kit from automax.
