Drove Cattmans' 4th&5th Gen w/Coilovers TODAY!!!
DAMN!!!!! Very nice looking coilovers. I'm not too sure about the sky-blue springs with anodized purple purches though.
I've driven MANY lowered cars. Not all were lowered correctly, but as low if not higher than Brian Catts. Anyways, I was VERY impressed on the quality ride and low speed turning ability with his pretty much slammed suspension on 17" rims. I also got a small chance to test the coilovers in a parking lot(at my work!!), but not enough to REALLY tell how good they would be when pushed to the limits. I can definitely say with his 2-1/2" plus drop, these things will NOT bottom out. I basically, scraped the roll-pan(hopefully it was the roll-pan, sorry Brian) on a drainage gutter, but it DEFINITELY didn't bottom out the shocks. These coilovers are "FIRST RATE" and the reason they cost $1600+ is because of the quality components used, major machining work, and AWESOME overtower adjustable camber-plates. They are fully adjustable to lower FAR more than the 2-1/2" Brian had his car. They use KYB AGX 7-way adjustables in rear and custom adjustable KYBs in front. Last, these are universal for 4th AND 5th gens., so incase you ever have to sell them you'll have more people willing to buy.

He has TWO catback exhaust setups coming out and he already posted about his CAI, but it is available. I just like to let people know about GOOD/BAD things when I "experience" them for myself.
P.S: His 4th gen. with Y-pipe and catback is HELLA loud. I could hear him coming from over a block away. However, I could still have a conversation in the car, just a LOUD conversation. Gotta LOVE it!

I'll take any Honda that outperforms a Nissan/Maxima.
How about a nice S2k...or an Acura NSX?
ahem
forget hondas....nissan rules...last i heard japans most popular sports car wasn't a honda nsx, was a Nissan Skyline GTR...nissan could learn a few things from honda but honda could take pointers from nissan...not hating...but sticking up for nissan...still dont understand why they refuse to bring the GTR to the states.

You don't think Nissan could learn anything from Honda?

Godsend, not quite. I definitely don't proclaim that Nissans' are Gods' gift to man, however the Skyline is pretty darn close by my benchmark. Anyways, 240 horsepower out of a 2.0 liter NA enigine is impressive. Too bad it doesn't produce ANY torque and only achieves 240hp at about 7900 rpms. You also have to FLOG the $hit out of it to get even mediocre performance. Motor Trend or Road&Track drove the S2000 moderately and said the 0-60 was in the 11-second range. The S2000 would be a fun toy to race and the NSX is not worth the money compared to MANY better cars available.

240hp is impressive, but were you expecting torque from a 4-cyl? Now give me an example of Nissan's 240hp NA 4-cyl.
The funny thing is, I am a Maxima owner, and my next car will probably be a Maxima as well.

I wanted to buy the Skyline GT-R32 for $32k from Motorex before I decided on the more practical but fast Maxima. "Practical" 'cause my insurance would've buttf*cked me with charges for a modified, imported sportscar in NJ.
<sniff> I would've had a field day at the track with that thing.

Is it much louder than most modded Maxes (yours or others)...or is his a "standout"? And all that noise with just Y-pipe/cat-back? What kind of cat-back is he running with? Does he have intake. I don't want a very loud Max.

DesertPearl, has an intake/Stillen Y-pipe/custom Greddy catback and it was a lot quieter than Brians.
MrBurner, has a Cattman custom catback/muffler which was louder than DesertPearls', but not nearly as loud as Brians.
If you go with a Y-pipe and don't want noise, leave the stock catback alone. I'm going with just the Greddy catback, but when I add a Y-pipe, I will probably sell it and have a custom catback with a Flowmaster made. I've heard some mean musclecars quieted down with Flowmasters. Plus, I like the sound they make.

1st-Skylines can use 94 octane gas
2nd-The reason why they dont bring the car here is because there is no market for the car.you should know that if a skyline were to come to the states it would be $90000+. Now look at the NSX sales in America, they sell less then 2000 cars a year. Nissan would lose money importing it here.(by the way my uncle is a head manager at nissan, and he goes to japan on the regular)
By the way get off your kick because theres no reason to treat people like crap...
