I searched - how to remove stock stereo???

Anyone have links? I have the Chilton manual but it isn't accurate, and I can't figure out how to get the cigarette butt tray out of the way to get to the screws behind it.

The ash tray assembly snaps in and out. Pull on the frame, not just the ash tray door to remove it. This will let you get to the two bottom screws to remove the center piece. Than remove the upper piece that includes the center vents, clock and the flasher/rear defrost buttons. This also snaps out but go slow and easy as it's stubborn. This will let you get to the top bolts. Remove them and the center console piece can be pulled out. The fan and temp control unt will also come out with the center piece. Unplug the wire connections and finish pulling the center piece out. The stero is screwed in on the sides.
