EGR code + Knock sensor code
EGR code + Knock sensor code
My engine light came on and my mechanic used his scanner to find the codes. The car seems to run fine. I checked the knock sensor with a Fluke and the ohm reading was right where a new one in the box was. He reset the light and about two weeks later it came back on and the same two codes. Anyone had this? I 've searched about the EGR and have seen pics of the tubes being clogged but the pics are so up close I can't figure out exactly where this is located. Anyone have a series of pics to locate the EGR piping?
We reset the light again and have been driving for a few days and it is staying off for now.

here is a radical idea. change the knock sensor and clean the EGR pipe. checking a cold knock sensor tells you nothing about how it is functioning at operating temperature when impedance is higher. as for the EGR pipe. locate your IAC Valve. Right adjacent to it (towards the passenger side) is the top of the pipe. hild in by 2 12 mm bolts. follow that down to see the other end. need to remove the air intake assembly to see it.
