CEL on after mechanic fixed rear main seal

My mechanic fixed the real main seal on my 97 Maxima and then after driving it back to work the CEL came on.

Any ideas why?

Without a code your guess is just as good as ours. Anything can be possible he could have left a sensor unplugged or a sensor could have gone bad. It could or could not be mechanic error related.
