What compares exhaust wise to cattman

I asked you guys a few months back what would be the best muffler for my 98 I30, i wanted a little more noise, but still quiet on the highway, i think i said i wanted a slightly M3ish sound. All of you said cattman was the way to go.

That was mid february, i placed an order and was told the first week of this month it would ship, as they were backordered. Seccond week of march i called and was told supplies were limited, but before the end of this month it would come in. Today i called and was told 2nd or 3rd week of next month. My muffler has a hole in it....i need a new one...

What else do you guys reccomend that will add a little more sound to the car, but keep it overall pretty quiet still, and that is well made so it will last (stainless likely)

Thanks

I understand that it is frustrating having to wait so long, but one thing EVERYONE on this forum will agree with is, do it right the first time. What does that mean exactly? It means, use quality parts the first time, and almost more importantly, get what you REALLY want and do not settle for something jsut because it's cheaper or immediately available. If you made one thread a while back, and would go so far as to create a second thread on exhaust, you obviously want a good exhaust and the Cattman does seem to fit your criteria--except for the wait. You really just need to wait if the Cattman is what you want. Otherwise, if you really never cared, just get a GReddy SP2, a Borla, a Magnaflo, or an HKS.....IMO, if you don't care to wait for the Cattman, you really don't care what you buy in the first place, so long as it produces a sound and is stainless.

With that said, Apparition is very right: /thread

greddy sp2 and cattman are the two highly recommended parts by most of the people on the forums. i personally went with greddy sp2. you can get it from justin @ GD section for pretty cheap. i didnt want to shell out the extra cash for the cattman parts.

I find nothing wrong with the greddy sp2. The tip draws some people away, but as far as sound goes, its pretty quiet, yet makes noise when you want it to. You should check out the exhaust sticky to find out how they sound.

Hey kcryan let me know when your Cattman comes in, I'd like to hear how it sounds. I need to get a new exhaust eventually.
