A Quick Fix to your Loose doors

I noticed yeserday while detailing the max that my doors are loose, as in they move like my trunk did. Thus, I wanted to fix it, being the perfectinoist that I am. Well, I quickly found out that it was an easy fix. On the trunk, you can just move the latch and rebolt it, but on the doors, you cant.

Here's what I used, it worked very well.
Ratchet with 1/4 socket
A large phillips drill bit

Put the drill bit in the socket, it should fit, mine was 1/4 inch, either way, find a socket that will fit.

All you need to do is open your door, and unscrew the latch that is on the car, not the door.
Rotate it 180 degrees, the top to the bottom, and bottom to top.
Screw it back in, screw orientation doesnt matter, just make it tight.

Now your door should close and be a firm fit. Before, the tubing that was on the latch was worn down, and it wasnt tight. I am not sure if anyone has done this or thought of it but its a quick fix to make the aging max a bit more like new again.

Hope this helps somone...

Now that's what we like, thinking outside the box.

Comment appreciated...thanks!

Now I just need to get rid of that 1302 code and the max will be pretty nice!
