I finally found a 97 5spd w/67k give me some tips on how to get the price down to 10,500 they want 12,000 the car has all the fixings but no Bose the car is green and has some scratches give me some help cause I will hang myself if I have to get an accord or dare I say civic

 

If you're ready to buy, the confrontation method always works best. Just say, I have this much to spend, and if you won't sell me the car for that, no sale. I got my car to the price I wanted like that and that's how we bought my brother's car also. It's not that much of a spread either, if 12000 is their original asking price. Good luck.

 

my car started out at 14... i got a cash price of 12500... then i went thru a buncha tihngs wrong with the car.. scratches, tires,the fact that there was no ful maintainence records... i said i simply dont have the money... and it worked... i walked away with the car for 10,400

 

You gotta put the pressure on em'. If you have the cash, walk in there with it and lay it down. If not, ask to talk to the saleman's manager yourself, that always make's them feel inferior and is worth at least a few $$. I looked for a month after I totaled my 96 5 speed, and all I could find was auto's. All the 5 speeds had at least 70k. I'm still ****ed. Good luck.
