Attn: mzmtg "ecu stuff"
So i pulled my ECU down to see where and what that other pink/blue wire was and for the 97 GXE not sure about the others .. maybe 96/97/98/99 .. its the fuel temp sensor.. but get this.. they are BOTH on the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the screw..
the Speed Sensor wire is the pink/blue wire closet to the screw on the RIGHT HAND side of the screw... the fuel temp sensor is farthest away from the screw and its near two white wires..
I also decided to run the car full cut with no switch and on the 5spd .. the car's RPM will dip below 500 down to 0 RPM when you get off the clutch and will eventually make its way back above 500 RPM .. you can tap the gas a little bit and it will be ok.. I only stalled once, however i am going to watch it for a week and see if its just the ECU trying to retrain it self or if i stall again.

Another note.. the ECU retards the car after 105 and the car is about i would say 60% power.. at about 110 the car is at 50% power... right before the gas cuts about 117 - 119 .. with the speed sensor cut.. the car is free willing and moves from 100 - 120 with full blast.. now that i have my test pipe i am noticing this much more..
pulled right to 127 mph then i ran into traffic.. my cousin said if i had kept on it.. i would have been at 130 no problem.. however.. i don't trust my brakes that well

Uh, oh. Time for me to pull another trick put of my sleeve. Does the car still pull after 120 though?

well the thing is.. since i have the noisy warpspeed pipe you can hear the hissing sound.. and once i touched 110 the hissing got kinda wierd.. like a loud whine... like the power was going.. but after the wire was cut it didn't do it anymore

I never noticed that. My car would charge right up to an indicated 117. The fuel would just cut out and throw you forward in the seat...until the speed dropped below the limit and then it would charge right back up.

Aaaaah, Fuel temp sensor. I see, so that's the wire I cute. Ooops. Oh well, I guess that's how we learn. At least I got the right one now. Now I gotta figure out which one the RPM sensor is. My Apexi rev/speed meter is half working.

Yeah, definately i need to find out which one that stupid rpms one is. oh yeah. i got the ingition power right, to turn it on. but it also needs a constant power too so it can remember the settings i put in (i'm assuming anyway). do you know which one is used for that too?

Anyone tried this with a auto? Hmm, maybe i should try this, but after all you guys figure out the bugs.
Either that or i'll buy the Apex'i unit and have that remove my limiter.

Doesn't mzmtg have an auto?
Well, I got the switch in. I wired in another 20amp switch and mounted it in the coin tray next to my tranny controller. I cleared the MIL and went through the song and dance to clear the TCM codes, what a PITA. So now I have speed when I need it, drivability and no MIL when I dont.
