need help picking new springs/shocks

The suspension on the car is fairly bad. is it ok to be driving with bad suspension? i dont drive it very hard (on turns) because of that fact. the car leans way too much so i cant really make turns at even medium speed; gotta make sure the car is slow enough to turn. i do plan on drivin this car for another few years until something catastrophic happens to it.

in any case, if you guys agree that i should, i am asking which set of spring and shocks should i get. I've been lookin at just the regular stuff (monroe springs, eiback springs). i did see some TOKICO (HP or illumini) shocks that are a bit more but people tend to choose them. What brands do you prefer and what have you heard about the monroes/eiback combo?

I would get just the monroes and eibacks but then the eibacks lowers the car by about 1.5 inches (couldnt find anything at normal height) and not sure if the monroes are right for those springs.

your old spring should work fine.....you may just need to get new shocks if your looking at a stock look...

is there a way to test it? the springs had been replaced to something that lowers the car; might be the eibacks. lowered it by about 1.5 inches; not the kind that lowers it 2.

when my bro swapped it out like 40k miles ago hes said everything was pretty worn out.

Does it just lean or does it bounce over bumps too? If you're the guy bouncing down the highway it's probably the shocks, but I'd say if you're not bouncing then it would be springs. I'm not an expert though- just from what I've read/heard. Btw, what's wrong with oem replacements since you're looking for a stock look?

i would've went w/ oem replacements, but all of the springs i found lowered the car. i was worried that the shorter springs would have an adverse effect on the shocks. i just wanted to know which set (spring + shocks) i should get since some shocks might be designed to work with the shorter springs.

i would rather stick to the config i do have (lowering car by 1.5 inches) since it is pretty stable at high speeds, just leans too much on turns. i'll check to see what oem springs cost from the dealer but last time i checked it was a bit more than eibacks.

the car doesnt bounce too much, but going over bumps is pretty bad.

I recently switched to eibach/kyb. I had sprints on before, which blew out the shocks. But the biggest difference I think was that the sprints were too soft (noticeable difference in spring rate from the eibachs) so that like you, every time I hit a bump, it was basically hammering the bump stops, translating into a very harsh ride. It came to the point of where I would brace myself if I saw a manhole cover on the road.

I couldn't be happier with the new setup.
