the car will last a long time as long as u give it the proper maintenance. i have a 96 that i got with 100k about 3 years ago and now its got over 160k on it. i didn't start modding it till about 130k or so.

96 maxima will die at exactly 150k on the dot...
Dude no1 knows. It matter on how the car has been treated, how maintained it was, theres tons and tons of factors. But I would say 109k is still young for a decently maintained maxima.

it will last a long time if you take good care. If it dies, sell the mods.

Yeah, this is a great question.... don't push it.. if you plan on modding it.. change/rebuild the motor first.. you will thank yourself for the lack of hassle. Anytime I've pushed the envelope on any whip, its been crisis management instead of the luck of the draw.. just my .02

good luck!

But seriously, properly maintained and 109k is young. I've got 240K on my black 95 Auto.

I have always known about the longevity of the VQ as are most of the car minded populous but just out of curiosity why isn't the resale value higher like Toyota etc? Top 10 engine rating and a pretty well made car.

My 96 has 204,000, The engine just broke in. Running strong on synthetic oil, just a couple of little things to take car off along with some mods and i can see a long and great future. Maxima power baby.

Just keep it maintained and it'll run for life.
