David L Taillight R.I.P. - Next best light?

A construction pickup truck backed into my car today while it was parked. It smashed the David L taillight I had. In the pic you can see another winter scar, from my psycho girlfriend kicking the door in a fit of anger. Getting it all fixed but where can I get the diamond cut clear tails for a 1996 besides procarparts.com? Which are the best? Im not spending another $300 on David L's.

Join the club, a truck backed into my Max a few days ago and smashed one tailight. What size are those rims, I like em. Is the car dropped, too? As for the tails, did you try ebay?

These ones are probably the closest to the ones you had...

I have a pair of red/clear tails for 95/96 Maxima. PM me if you are interested. And it won't be $300 either.

These are waiting just for you and they illuminate just like the David L's.

BTW, these tails are about 1 year old. It's been painted to match the inner tails. All you need to do is mount them onto your car and you're done! I was selling these for $200 + shipping. I'll waive the shipping fee. Price is still negotiable as long as it is reasonable and not a low-ball.

Just added these pix of the tails while they were on my Maxima:

And this is what the eBay red/clear tails look like at night (aka CE tails):

YUUUUK!!!

DR Max,

Thanks for the offer but after looking at pictures I actually am ready for a change in look of my car and like the crystal clear, more modern look.

Are the ones from procarparts.com, custom enterprise, and ebay basically the same lights or are there any structural, fitment or strength differences? Which are the best crystal clears?

And thanks for the compliments on the rims, they are Motegi DP6 18" in chrome. They are pretty reasonably priced I got them new on ebay almost 2 years ago. The car is lowered with KYB GR2 and Springtech springs... its funny how even with an advertised 2 inch drop the car still has wheel gap and when i lowered my E36 BMW 1.9 inches on same size 18 inch rims the car looked slammed and I had full rear tire tuck into the fender right up to the rim.

Nonetheless, I bang the front "skidplate" looking angled part of the frame of the maxima under the front bumper pretty frequently when going up or down driveways. I guess the way the Maximas suspension geometry was designed it will take airbags or coil-overs to get tire tuck.

They look aight in the day. At night is when they look crappy because of the illumination pattern as shown on the pix below. But...to each his own.
