305 WHP all-motor 350Z!!

Granted he is running 15:1 compression and race gas, but he's also using relatively mild cams (JWT S1). I think he might have hit the point of diminishing returns, though, since he has to run in the low 12's AFR, but this gives us hope.

Who's gonna have the first all-motor Maxima to hit the 300 WHP mark?

Nice list of parts used there:

http://my350z.com/forum/showpost.php...4&postcount=26

JE custom lightweight pistons
eagle rods
manley valves
supertech springs
ported heads
JWT S1 cams
everything lightened, balanced and blueprinted
ACT prolite flywheel and 6 puck unsprung clutch
Crawford plenum
UR pulleys
TS headers (temporary)
test pipes
Utec set up speed density

i really think this power could be acheived on 12 to 1 compression, or pretty close. then you could drive it on pump gas. the gains from 12.5 to 1 to 15 to 1 arent very great. i think i am going to do an actual compression test to see what it is. i havent done that yet. maybe its lower and i am overkilling it with C16 that i am running. i figure its better safe than sorry. i am running it 12 to 1 AFR with about 3 degrees more timing low and 6 up high...

15:1?! That's not street-friendly

What is he revving to? I can't wait to see what's possible with some more aggressive cams

that was in his ridiculously stripped and Sawz-All modified interior (400-500lbs lighter than stock), TH400 automatic drag transmission with trans brake equipped, trailered to the track, no exhaust having, C16 + nitrous twin turbo setup car that he loved to claim was "completely streetable" lol. I always laughed when he made that claim.

he's gone 12.3 @ 110 with the all motor setup (I think he will be able to better that time).

streetable my a*s. If you cant drive next to a cop and him not get pissed, or have ur girl in the car and NOT be ashamed, THEN its streetable, LOL.

Then of course, if it cant run on pump gas, its not streetable IMO. To gas up you have to go to the local track/ speed shop with race gas? ridiculous

but still, those #s are amazing! lol

I'm convinced that those number can be reached with a lower compression ratio.

He needs longtubes+big cams for 320+whp.

And the quarter mile number is even more impressive. 12.3@110 on slicks I assume.

Now I have someone to gun down in the NA wars with my VQ s13.

The ET to beat is 12.3.

Why am I not impressed?

I guess with those mild cams it's pretty good.

edit: After reading more about the car I have to back up some. I see he's only getting started, so yes for what he has on it so far it's pretty good.

250whp @ 5krpm

305whp @ 6900 rpm

Someone get his runfiles

He was on 26" slicks and I assume he was running the 6spd again, because later in the thread he makes another of his "I'm gonna" claims where he says he could hit the 9s if he puts his TH400 back in and adds a 200 shot.

supposedly anything over 14.0 to 1 C/R starts losing power w/o alcohol

Still very impressive but I completley agree

Yea i figured that there had to be a point of diminishing returns even when using race gas.
