We need a better description of what happens when you try to start it. Video is even better.

1. make sure all sensors are plugged in and working properly
2. make sure you have the fuel correctly setup
3. check for codes

I remember there was one guy who setup his fuel system backwards. The car would barely start and then choke and die. It is always the small things that get us.

Yep I did that. Silly thing was that I knew that Nismo FPR are one way but I tried it anyways. 5 days of 100+ degrees can get to ya I would rather have a problem like that than a timing problem.

as far as sensors...everything is hookup corectly....
the only thing that pulls up on my scanner is the evap sensor thats on the top of the 4th gen intake manifold...

other then that my car turns over....

im running a stock 3.5 fuel rail.....
i got a walbro fuel pump ...
the hose from the fuel filter connects to the 3.5 fpr....

would timing jump if everything is put together???

the feed line is the line coming from the fuel filter side right??
from the fuel filter, it connects to the 3.5l fuel rail...
direct from the fuel filter to the fuel rail...

You need some sort of fuel pressure regulator in there.. It's a "damper" on the end of the stock 3.5 rail, not an FPR.

My guess on what's happened:

1. No FPR, you dumped way too much fuel when cranking
2. Plugs are now flooded
3. no starta

There's no way to connect a fuel line to the damper though and he said he connected the fuel line to the 3.5 FPR.

Anyway, you're on track with the no FPR thing. Wayyyyyyy too much fuel pressure if that's the case...

^ I'm guessing he got a brass coupler and hooked up the hose from the FF to the hose coming off of the damper.

^ yes, but you will have to modify the holes to make it bolt up.. You will know what I mean when you mount it. I used a 2000 FPR on my swap.

hey guys....heres an update....
i got a 3.5l in my 96 max se running but need some help...

heres my mods:

2002 maxima motor 3.5l
1997 maxima trans 5 speed
bomz intake
warpspeed y-pipe
fpr: ghetto rig stock fpr...

as far as my sensors and ecu, im running a 96 fed se ecu (stock)...as far as the sensors i have the map/boro hooked up to the tb vaccumm line...i dont have any iacv sensors, and egr sensors...the only sensors i got is the tps, map/boro,crank sensor(2), cam sensor, oil pressure sensor, o2 sensor...i might be missing a few but cant think of it at the moment......

ordered a aftermarket universal adjustable fuel pressure regulator...what should i set it to??

car is running but need help with starting...it doesnt start up right away....i gotta crank it awhile for it to start....any ideas???

could it be the fpr because im running the stock one???

i got a ur crank pulley but cant take it off my old motor...i used a impact gun(ings impact gun with 1000lbs of loosening torque) and still cant come out....any ideas???

as far as ordering a e-manage ultimate, where can i get the best deal???
