believe it or not, my dog "posed" like that himself. Not sure what he was doing (I was chilling at a gas station on a recent road trip), but I think he was watching some kids riding around on an ATV out in a field

hell yeah......mine isn't a Beagle though....his official breed is the "Rat Terrier" (aka "Deckers")..... created here in America in the 1700s when they bred Fox Terriers (for their build) with Beagles (for their nose) and Greyhounds (for their speed), in order to catch jackrabbits and rats in farm fields.... Basically, he's a fast-as-hell hunting dog who spends 10 hours a day sleeping on the couch.

Irish - does he shed a lot? I ask because I have a Smooth Fox Terrior whose coat looks similar and he sheds like a motha...thus he gets very few rides.

Yeah, he sheds quite a bit. He has exactly the same kind of coat as a smooth fox terrier. He only rides in my car if we're going on a long trip, so I have the wifey brush him extensively before he gets in. Since my interior is blond, his hair doesn't show up much...

Interesting. I knew I saw a little beagle in him. My boy sleeps on the couch a lot too. It's characteristic of all hounds. But when they're on, they can't be stopped.

Cool dogs. My Corgi, Bloo, has logged a few thousand miles himself. I'm not sure how becuase his legs are so short they hardly reach the steering wheel not to mention the pedals.
