is there a way to test the harness for the cps (POS) between the tranny and engine ? this is for a fellow orger. he keeps getting the code and i replaced the sensor for him. asmu-95max chime in anytime if you have something to add. its 5spd and im thinking that the timing ring may be damaged ? seems to happen at high rpm. (the mil light) im open to suggestions !

 

i dont have my fsm with me, but im pretty sure that there was a test for it. i believe u check the voltage at the sensor.

1. ign off
2. disconnect cps sensor
3. turn key on
4. check between terminal 4 and ground for batt voltage. bottom right is terminal 4.

repeat steps 1-3
4. check between terminal 1 and ground for ref voltage. top left is 1

2. check for continuity between terminal 2 and ground. top right is 2

1. ign off
2. check for continuity between terminal 3 and ground.
