From everything I've read HPS will be quieter, better grip, and less dust.

Mintex was very popular among the BMW forums. I had them on my 7 and loved them. Great stopping power and very low dust. Anybody use them here?

I don't doubt it, but it is supposed to be less than the PBR's.

I have the HPS pads and they work great, with an occasional squeak and dust isn't a problem unless I do high speed braking, which would be expected from any pad...

OEM is ceramic. Just went back to ceramic; No dust and no delay before it grips.

OEM brake pads are ceramic??? Is that confirmed?? I thought its just the regular semi-metallic material.

In all my searches, this turned out to be the cheapest place out of 14 sites...

Akebono and Raybestos list them as ceramic.

I've been using Bendix IQ import for the longest time.
It offers the best value for its price ($39-44 front set).
Bendix has also introduced the new CT3 line.
They are very quiet and don't fade like the OEM during traffic.
It is dangerous driving with the OEM as the stopping distance degrades
under traffic condition. These are ceramic pads. They also offer life time
warranty.

If I get Hawk ceramic pads, will I need to change the rotors? Thanks all.

I also have these pads, they are great. My only complaint is that the first stop when the pads/rotors are cold is that the friction coefficient is less - but that is expected with ceramics.

You should be fine with the old rotors, just be sure to follow the break-in procedure.
