Brake flush with DOT4 fluid

Brake flush with DOT4 fluid

Can I Drain & Fill brake reservoir with DOT4 brake fluid, will it cause any problem with ABS?

Car 95 gle, 109K miles

DOT4 will be fine, anything but DOT5.

drain and fill brake fluid... i hope you mean bleed them at each bleeder =P

yes I meant bleed @ each bleeder.
Doesn't abs reservoir contain break fluid, will it behave differently for dot4?

I used Valvoline synthetic brake fluid recently. Works on both Dot 3 and Dot 4 systems. No problems so far.

You will be fine. just remember the ABS system holds quite a bit of fluid. you'll need at least a full quart to properly bleed the system. 2qts would be better.

Is Dot 3 not available ? i know thats whats required for the 4th gen. But they are most likely equivalent just like dexron II and III is for the tranny.
