Walbro 255 + Stock FPR + E-manage Ultimate

So my aftermarket FPR just took a crap on me. Stuck with the stocker. I am wondering, I know the stock FPR combined with the Walbro 255 makes the car run WAY rich (tons of white smoke), so once I install the E-U and tune the AF to around 12.5, will the fuel pressure matter at all? Do I really need an aftermarket FPR? As long as I correct the situation with the EU will this affect how the car runs?

Rich = black smoke
Oil = blue smoke
Water/coolant = white smoke

And no aftermarket AFPR necessary as far as the car running properly is concerned. Now if you want to keep the fuel cooler by going "returnless" that's a different story.

I know white smoke is coolant normally but when a car runs REALLY rich it can certainly produce white smoke (especially if, as in my case, the engine was cold). It smells like a snowmobile and all.

I know this because the car NEVER produced ANY smoke as of yet, not on cold startups, nothing. But the MINUTE I switched back to the stock FPR its producing a bunch of white smoke (again, cold).

So basically I can get away with it since I can tune the AF?

My question relates specifically to using the Walbro 255 lhp WITH the stock FPR. I can live with Return-style for now, as long as you tell me Ill be fine with the Walbro + Stock FPR as long as the AF gets tuned correctly.

It doesn't usually take the ECU that long to adjust its short term fuel trims. Are both of your primary o2's hooked up and in good shape?

In any case, the engine will be fine with the stock FPR.

What do you mean that long, it ran for 3-4 minutes after that. What happened is that the FPR started shooting fuel into the intake manifold via the FPR vaccum line. The O2 sensors are all fine (1 good, 2 new).
