Look at my new Maxima!

I got it pretty cheap as a parts car to fix my 92 GXE. Nice color!

This is why I got it cheap!

And it has the GOLD package!

Yeh, I think I got it cheap compared to how much a used transmission costs around here. Plus I can use alot of other parts to make one really nice 3rd gen maxima. It runs and drives excellent @ 135K. You would never know it was wrecked except for the wind noise going up I85. And everything works, except the passenger side doors and windows. Oh yeah, it has rear disc brakes too! on a GXE?

I gave $400 for it.
Well worth it to me. I might even be able to make my money back when I'm done, if I part it out.

It's well worth it for the motor and odds and ends. The auto tranny I wouldn't value, you might if your other one is an auto.

You can recycle the car when your done.
With the rates for scrap metal you'd get 200-300.
And about 50 for the cat converter also at the recycling place.

....I still have half a car to bring in.

Since my 92 doesn't have ABS, will I be able to use the rear discs anyway? I was hoping I could.

tan cloth interior is one of the least-desired colors. you don't have much stuff inside worth selling.

for the money you'll make parting it out, you'll barely pay for your time to tear it apart.

It was more than I wanted to spend, but my dearly beloved has been naggin me everyday since I started looking a month ago, to HURRY UP!
It's still a lot less that getting a used transmission (starting @ $600) let alone getting one rebuilt!
When she finally graduates and I send her off to work, I'll have some time to do a 5 speed swap!

If your maxima got totaled, would you sell it for $100 if it was stock? I think not.

Not a bad price. Could have been better but really there isn't too much damage.

Wow you got another car??? You're going through them like hot cakes! Can't go wrong with a bimmer though, that's what I switched to as well, granted a much older one. (97 328is)

You could say I got a running engine for $350 and the rest for $50 - Worth it.

Since the car moves when I put it in D - Worth it.

Drivers door is good, driver fender is damaged not the bumber - Worth it.

It is most-desired by me since that's what I needed - Worth it.

The digital climate control... - Worth it.

I'll be sweatin off a few extra fat cells in the hot GA sun - Worth it

AND it has the GOLD pakage - Worth it!

It is green, but not sure if it's emerald green. I'll check on that in the morning.

i hope it's for a GXE because of the chrome trim and body colored mirror that's gonna be on that door... otherwise i hope you've got time to kill making it look SE-ish again.

It would be as simple as transferring my se door trim to the gxe door..

They guy I bought it from said he made an illegal turn and somebody t-boned the passenger side. The post between the front and rear doors is bent, not sure if the rest of the frame is bent though. I thought about getting it fixed and use my doors, but mine are the pearl white color. I would have to invest in a paintjob, and I don't want to spend any more money on this project. Maybe a little more, but not a lot more.

It's either emerald green or black, if there's any shade of green in it, just say "yes". No need to go check paint codes, vin numbers or test the paint for green molecules Does the car run and drive?

Edit: Missed "runs and drives excellent". $400 isn't too bad I guess if you have plans for it or need parts..

Hey thats not too bad. 400 bucks aint bad for the mileage or for the running condition you say it's in. As for the body damage, from quick looks at the pic, it doesnt appear to be too bad either. All you probably need is a door which you SHOULD be able to get at a JY for less than 50-60 bucks unless you go to some redneck rip off yard (no offense if there are any rednecks here)

Can you take a couple of snap shots with the door opened IF it opens? Looks like there's still hope.

As for the "GOLD PACKAGE" I've never heard of it but it seems to be just a gold coated emblem and gold painted wheel center covers, doesnt seem to special from what you make it sound like. What exactly is this package?

IIRC,the "gold package" was a option at certain dealers like the chrome se wheels/ribbed leather seats/ribbed door inserts,etc..My se had a gold hamburger on the grill when i first got it[since been removed],it wasn't a home made job either....I've also seen a local 92-94 gxe with a gold front grill, not sure if the nissan symbols on the wheels were gold though[just seen it in passing]..

creamy, if you plan on parting out the rest of the car (less transmission), do you have 2 rear bose amps and a power antenna you would like to sell? If so, please let me know. Thanks
