ksport clunking noise....

Hi all,
I had my ksports for around 2 years with no noise issues, but now the driverside front coilover is making clunking noises. Anyone have this problem or a possible solution....really hope i didnt blow the coilover

Check the pillow-ball mount for play.

Pop the hood and bounce on the radiator support. See if there is any noise. If there is check the area.

It can also be several items not tightened to spec or preload (or lack of) on the spring.

This problem occurs when i go over bumpy sections of road, i thought it was the tie rod ends/balljoints but i replaced those and still clunking. I will give it a shot tomm after work to see it is the problem. Thanks.

The strut mounts have probably just taken a crap.

I see some oil when I investigated under the dust boot....i think i blew the strut, do you guys know who in the forum can hook up a pair of front struts preferable a little less stiff than the standard spring rate they come in for the maxima?

im 200% sure your KSport shock is blown. good luck getting a replacement without paying. a new shock will be around $130 shipped and will blow in another year.

In the GD section Mike can get specific rates on D2s. I would be suprised if they were significantly different.

Yes, I have experience with this. I've had KSports for almost two years. The only problem with them is that the shocks do blow. But that is common on any coilover kit. So you either keep your stock suspension or suck it up. I really like KSports i just think the warranty should be longer.

That is not true. There are people with JIC's/Basics for 5-6 years now.
