4th gen 3.5 swap compression

i wanted to see what kind of compression is everyone at in a 3.5 swap???

02+ VQ35DE's all have 10.3:1 if they're healthy. IIRC, earlyVQ35(01) Pathy's had 10.0:1. But that's another story.

Unless you interchange heads from the VQ30DE, there wont be any changes.

180 - 185psi I thought that's what you meant, just thought I'd throw that out there for sharts and gangles.

I have 225 0n mines on one head but the other head is shot its 180, 150 and 180 again.

225? you must have alot of carbon on those piston rings to have that high of a compression. The highest my engine does is 210psi, same with others maximas that I've been there for the compression check.

The minimum is closer to 143.


Either way, as you know, the absolute numbers aren't as important as variance between cylinders.

yeah it doesn't matter anyway i'm tearing it apart as we speak droping in pistons and rods .

I have never seen a VQ35 show less than 195psi, and no more than 215.
