Anyone ever hear about a MAFci?

Well I used to own a 2004 mazda 3 and was considering getting a 6s until i got into the max world(and i dont regret it). A Company called cp-e makes a mass air flow customizer for the mazda 6 v6 due to a cel but also because the a/f mixture is incorrect. Its the most popular mod for the mazda 6 crew and i know that people on here talk alot about how our ecu will relearn and cause an intake to do nothing. Im not that technical but does anyone think they could possibly make a solution for us?

Heres there website for the 6s MAFci intake kit
http://www.cp-e.com/2001.html

I just saw that in the past 6 months they have added a vq35 for the altima, anyone think it would work on the 6th gen?

Essentially I have the same set-up using SAFCII @ an 82mm MAF housing.

I sent them an e-mail in February and they never e-mailed me back. Not the way to run a business.

That's why you take matters into your own hands and do what I did.

Well I sent them an email last night letting them know that there are people that are interested. The emailed me back asking where I lived so there might be an interest there. Anyone live in MD that would be willing to let them use their car?

I wonder if you can get the ECU add-on by itself since I already have the Fujita intake...

Yes you can, they have one for the mazda 6s with the injen intake, mainly to fix the cel but their intake setup with the MAF customizer usually is more power. They use a 3.5" intake tube.

I'm relatively close to Baltimore/D.C. where these guys are located and even talked with them about using my Alty SE-R as a guinea pig for tuning for 05+ wideband O2 Alties. They use their own piping, 3.5" WAI piping, I wanted a CAI only and they weren't willing to extend the piping to create a CAI at the time so I lost interest and stopped pursuing it. IIRC the only Alty they've tuned for was an 02 non wideband O2 ECU, hence the need to have access to a wideband O2 equipped Alty (BTW, I'm only talking VQ35DE Alties here obviously). I went with the Fujita intake instead.

The MAF customizer is software only, it's not an ECU piggyback unit like the S-AFCII or the EU or UTEC units are. You must have a laptop to use the MAF customizer. Also, these intakes are quite pricey, 500+ dollars with the MAF customizer option. Without buying the customizer option yourself, they'll send you a MAFCi that has pre-mapped settings based upon their dyno results for similar year cars, much like the TS ECU customization process. If I were going to go this route, I'd probably choose an SAFCII or EU instead, with TS L-Spec ECU reflash.
