Thanks to Prinz for helping me out!

I spoke with the detail king last night and he hooked me up with some great advice for detailing my black 96 miata

I ended up with

PC7424 with sonus pad kit
Klasse all in 1 and Glaze
Optimum Polish

So I have all that I need but I am still contemplating some s100 or a tub of Pinnacle Souveran(sp?) but am debating the price

Thanks again for the help, now the bill will come

Great list of products. Just make sure you use them in the correct order.

Souveran is a great wax. It's on sale a couple times a year but it will last a long time. I only use it for 'special' occasions. I've used S100 and Natty's Blue as my 'everyday' wax.

No problem to help you wax. What kind will you bring?

Actually, it's the 8 hours of prep that allows the wax to make the paint look it's best.

Do you have the blackout tape? Make sure you slit the roll to half width.

I was kidding about the waxing. I still have to buy the blackout tape though.

That's good.....I was kidding too, about the waxing. We can still do the blacout tape. Speaking of which, I need to re-do mine. After 3 years, it's starting to show it's age.

I use Klasse AIO and the Natty's Blue combo too and I couldn't be happier with the results. Haven't tried the S100 or it's higher priced sister P21S, but from what I hear, they're fine waxes.

Think I'm gonna give Collinite 845 a try next after my Natty's runs out though, for a little compare and contrast if you will.

Have fun gussying up your Miata.

The S100 is very good, but I prefer the Natty's on dark colors. I used 2 layers of 845 before the winter (Wisconsin) and it survived very well. I was pleased and impressed with it's durability through the snow and salt. Still beading in the spring.

Aye, me too. I was going to try the S100 or P21S next, but some folks said it was a bit too bright for their tastes (at least on the darker colored cars) so I opted to stay with the Natty's Blue and try the 845 next.

Now do you use the 845 strictly for your winter coat (for it's protective purposes) and the Natty's or Pinnacle for your fairer weather and gussying up needs or use whatever your pleasure at the time. How does the Collinite stack up to the Natty's looks wise? (not durability wise) A good looker on dark cars too?

I tried the 845 this winter. Last winter I used UPP and the winter before I used Klasse SG. In the summer I only use the Natty's or Souveran. I think the Natty's gave a bit deeper and wetter look, but the 845 isn't bad at all...
