Has anyone here tried SeaFoam on their Max?

I was reading up on this product and everyone says it works wonders on the engine build up and also to clean out the tank. Has anyone here used this sort of stuff? I have 95 max with 95k on it. Good idea to try it out?

Pm NCSUMax, I was there when he and Blackmaxx96 did his. I haven't driven either car, so I can't answer with a well informed opinion. You also might want to check under Fluids/Lubricants, I believe there is ample info there on it.

I just did a tune up(SP, air filter, fuel filter) and oil change about 500 miles ago, is it a good idea to do it now or wait until i am up for next oil change?

Not sure, you might want to check out our 'fluids' section for that answer as well.

I would wait till your next oil change. Do it right before you drain

I usually seafoam and clean the throttle body at the same time, definitely drives differently. But it's not an every week treatment tho, every few months or so depending on how you drive your car.

I do it every 6 months. Noticed a little difference the first time, but nothing really anymore. It's still fun to see all the smoke come out.... scares the crap out of my neighbors.

Just go step by step according to the instruction and you should be good. It helps a little on the mileage but I like the cleaning action it does on the carbon. Works best on cars with some mileage on them.

Never. Nope. There are most certainly not any threads on this forum dealing with this so called Seafoam.

Go to google:
type "seafoam site:forums.maxima.org" into the search bar.

I just used Deep Creep (the spray form of Seafoam and made by the same company), and now I'm misfiring on 6th cyl. Yay!

I have used it in all of the cars I have but only in the gas with the maxima so far. On my other cars I have used it in the gas, throttle body, oil, and on my automatic cars in the transmission (they make some specifically for the tranny). Stuff works awesome! When using it in the throttle body though, the car runs really rough until it burns out all the crap, if the car is really clogged with crap it will have a black smoke screen out the tail pipe for several minutes.
