Budget B Pipe = FTL.

So my friend gets this damn B-pipe for a '98 and I'm expecting good quality like my Budget Y and needless to say I am disappointed..

Rather than having a flange between the resonator section and the rest of the B pipe there's this cheap @ss "ball in socket" type connection that puzzles me on how it would manage to seal at all.

Anyone have the same problem? I mean come on paying 260cdn for a nice SS B and then it has a really cheap connection.

cheap connection, but it works very well. I don't have any leaks. what really pisses me off is how it hits the gas tank

I was skeptical about it as well but it works just fine. 10x better than the warpspeed bpipe we put on my buddies 00(it was like 6peices welded together). Mine doesnt hit the gas tank, mine hits the suspension when there is a load in the trunk, similar to what my buddies SP2 does in his 99

Hey Kevlo, What is that your sister's arm?

Anyhow, the B works for me, the only problem was hitting near the gas tank.
Loosened bolts, repositioned, & fixed problem.

BTW, does yours hit anything over speed bumps when you have stuff in the trunk?

I think hitting stuff is a problem with most larger-than-stock b-pipes. I have a custom 2.5" and mine will hit part of the suspension if I go over a large bump (99% of normal driving you'll never hear it hit). My solution is supposed to be a Nismo exhaust hanger for the b-pipe, but I've had it for over a year now and never installed it

I also changed my rubber hanger when repositioning the B, no problems at all,
not even over speed bumps or anything....

Stiffer hangers solve most of these problems. Blackmax, any decent exhaust shop can remedy that.
