best way to clean Apex-I Filter (frankencar intake)?

I bought an intake from frankencar performance and bought the apexi filter, because i was told there was little cleaning that needed to be done. Now i think its about time i clean it, what would be the best way to do it? Would wash it with water, and then letting it dry be a good idea? How about just blowing all the crap out with a vacuum or something?

You don't clean it. You buy a new one. It's not the same as an oiled K&N.

apparently, if i understand the link correctly, ewuzh may be right. you dont ever have to clean it until you need to buy a new one after 30k-50k miles.
