NE1 who's tinted their tail lights...

I tinted my tail lights with VHT "Nightshade".
Looks pretty good - but they're matt and I want 'em glossy.
I figure I could sparay on some glossy clearcoat,
but I'm worried about how the clearcoat will react with the tint I already laid down,
or even with the plastic of the lense...
What did all yall use and are you happy with the results?
