umm dood. you need to stop overfeeding your guard dog..

If it lets that big ugly rat in your car, you've got to be overfeeding it and making it lethargic.

clifford IG 8000 here. back before they sold out to DEI and went to ****.

I have the "lock the car in the garage" alarm and "full coverage insurance."

My car actually had one of those anti theft chips installed, but I think the previous owner lost it and had to bypass it.

I kind of want an alarm with keyless entry. I get tired of using the key.

I will be adding a biometric panel after its done with testing. I will tie it in with some high-end alarm system with static sensors and the open window ones. I really need to be able to pop the truck and put the windows down. I wont add engine start though. Biometrics, and keyless entry. Then you can shave the doors and get rid of the stupid locks that dont work. Then you put door pop buttons in the trunk (dont shave the trunk) in case your remote dies or something goes wrong with the biometric system. I will also put in some kind of open-assist spring so that when it does pop, it will open the door an inch or so. Should be nice!

Will post pics or hopefully a model after my friends Lab at ITT gets one of those 3D printers. Rapid prototyping. Havnt started drawing up the panel in CAD yet.

Still in Testing.

I have some aftermarket system that the previous owner had put in. It does the job and is loud as hell, but personally I think its too easy to bypass since all it does is take the starter out of the loop.

brass TACKS?

Brass tacks is an object used in the popular expression "get down to brass tacks". The expression usually means clearing out confusing details and finding out the real facts about something.

I really want an alarm, but all the alarms I've ever had were more annoying than they were good. They'd go off CONSTANTLY or not go off at all, had annoying bugs in them and interfered with the stock alarm, etc.

My stock alarm has saved my butt 9 of 11 times

is there any manufacturer that has a real carbon fiber remote to go along with their alarm? and what alarms are there, that's good quality and the remote doesn't look like a box nor too bulky?

I've got a chicken wire mesh seat cover thats connected to a high voltage discharge system (50,000 volts). If you dont punch in a code on a hidden keypad before you switch on the ignition you get fried. I have picked up 2 well done steaks (thats what they looked like when I found them) in a seedy part of town and thank god for those insulated coveralls the one time I forgot to punch in the code.
