Hub centering rings, does one brand fit all?

I currently have HP wheels with hub centering rings on my 98 maxima. I am switching to Axis wheels. The wheels I am buying do not come with centering rings. I am wondering if I can use the centering rings on my HP wheels on the Axis wheels or do I need to get a new centering ring since the center bores on the wheels may be different (I'm not sure if they are or not). If I need new ones does anyone know the best place to get some axis centering rings quickly? Thanks for any help.

Make sure you check the centerbore of your new wheels. Pretty much any wheel or tuner shop should carry them.

ok so it sounds like I can use the rings on my HPs. Next question is, should I just stick with the plastic ones that came with my HPs or would a metal ring be better and where would I buy those? There are really no "tuner" shops in the area so it would be something that I would probably need to get online. Thanks for the help.

If your plastic rings are in good shape and fit correctly go ahead and use them. Replace any that are cracked or broken.

Check ebay first, then go to google.

well if anyone else is wondering the samething I did. I finally figured it out. The center bore on my fourth gen is 66mm and the hub bore on the axis (I may add this is most wheels) is 73.1mm, so I needed a 66->73.1 hubcentric rings. I some metal rings yesterday on ebay from discount tire.
