Neutral safety switch?

Hey, sometimes when I go to start my car it wont start. But when I switch to neutral it starts right away. So did the neutral safety switch go bad? Its more of an annoying problem that ive had for a while but it always seems to start in neutral but I would still like to get it fixed so is it the neutral safety switch? Thanks

Yes its the NSS, which is built into the Range Switch on the front of the Transmission. You will be okay for a while but eventually itll stop starting in neutral as well.

So it did the same thing again, i put key in ignition turned the key and nothing. So i left the shifter in park and just pushed it up a little more (it was still in park) truned the key and it started right away.. So i guess my problem was that it wasnt in the gear all the way? So looks like i dont need a new nss.
