tachometer goes crazy

tachometer goes crazy

hey guys,

when i drive my 96 maxima on the highway the tach goes crazy and is bouncing around especially when there are a lot of bumps. how can i possibly fix this problem ? i dont want to replace the guage cluster and screw up the mileage.

You have to buy another Gauge Cluster. www.car-parts.com Take them both apart and put the new guage into yours. Its fairly easy. Unscrews and goes in. Keep it on the side if another part of your guage goes bad.
