In my opinion, in terms of performance the best would be the PR CAI or the Cattman CAI. The OSCAI would be not too far back. Both types will give you good gains with the y-pipe. The OSCAI is the cheapest and you can try to hook one up to see if you like it. If you want something more, then you can go to the real CAI. The OSCAI will be the quieter one.

PR CAI and Cattman CAI are pretty much exactly the same. As for noise, they can get pretty loud at WOT. You will need to cut a hole in the fender for the CAI

I was in the same mind set as you DeaZal. I kept saying to myself, "I don't want to cut a hole in my car!" After a while, I got the need for speed and got the CAI. The cutting isn't too bad. You'll never see it because the hole is well hidden. If I can change my mind so can you... and I'm VERY stubborn about things.

On the driver's side in the engine bay... under the fuse box.

no cutting required for the ooglie solution unless you have a 2k1. On the 2k1 model, the scoop is sealed at the bottom and must be cut.

Don't worry about it. The drilling should take about 30 seconds........ BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT..... make sure you use the template. Good luck!

You think I'll be okay if I use a 3.5 inch hole saw? Looks like this whole is 3.25.

It'll make a difference when you're moving, but not much on the dyno.

What exactly should be used to cut the cap off on the stock intake for an oscai and what diamtere is the pipe? Also, There seems to be a plastic deflector piece on the bottom of the engine bay, will I have to cut through that as well, cuz I don't see how to reroute it to an opening....

no fun.

I Just got my prcai yesterday and installed it today. Dont worry about the hole. I think that was the easiest part of the install. Nothing lined up right. I had to mickey mouse the battery tray in. The instructions sucked and on my first run one of the clamps snapped when I was driving in the city. The tube after the first senser popped out. There was no where to pull over so i drove about a half hour with NO FILTER!!! FAUK. So I ended up stalling out at every stop light.Havent had time to fix it yet but I havent drove it since. Am I in touble?????????????
