Question about valve cover screws

I thought I would tighten the screws on my valve covers to possibly solve (or just improve) my oil leak problem and noticed that they were all kind of loose. I could turn each one of them one full rotation before I got any significant resistance. Is this normal?? Should they be that loose?

They tend to loosen up after a while..tightening them up to spec may stop/lessen your valve cover leak..

you should probably just replace the valve cover gaskets, then retighten correctly. For the VG, the gaskets aren't very expensive.

I don't know how difficult they are to access, though. I replaced the front on my VE, but haven't touched the back one.

On the VG you have to remove the air intake plenum to access the front valve cover gasket.
