Im sure many of u have seen these things, but i have never seen anyone driving with them and i thought maybe it was bc they were illegal, i could see that it would be an easy thing for a cop to see, but i wanted some to go to our saturday night car shows, anyone know if they are legal?

Maybe...

Each State and Province has its own law concerning this. Best is to call up your local police dept. and ask them, or look it up in the State/Provincial Law books. Worst case, have them off until the show.

I've actually seen ones that turn on when you start to move....and turn off when your stopped.....i think these would be better that way if you did get pulled over they would be off when the cop stopped you...plus you wouldn't have to always get in and out of your car to turn them on and off......

RE: Lighted Valve Stem Lights...

I have the ad in an issue of Sport Compact Magazine, and it says "Please check State and local laws before ordering", so I guess it shouldn't be illegal except in those few sucky states - you know, the ones where radar detectors aren't legal (like where I live, Virginia). Just a guess, you should call local law. Just trying to help.

Don't get them

I had them on my car a year ago, when they first came out. Drew a lot of attention to my car, not from police, however, but the first rain storm they all died.

illegal hands down

at least right now. i believe they are trying to legalize something similar but for now definitely not legal they are alright, but they burnout if you hit water, and they can come loose, so you have to check them every time you startt o drive. not worth the headache. the set i have are on my littel cousins bike.

I have the ones from Fuse VSL. I have the blue ones. I believe that these just look incredible. The amount of people that will slow down to check em out and people that compliment me on them is awesome. I did have an officer in a parking lot come up to me and tell that they are illegal though. I've never actually been pulled over for them though!

thats cool how they turn on by themselves, it would be a pain to turn them on every time, plus i live in texas and the rain isnt a problem here, they would be extremely easy to steal though

I read through this thread and have no idea what kind of lights you're talking about. Can you show me a pic or explain what you're talking about?

I got pulled over for speeding with my red valve stem covers on so i dont think it could be too illegal. I never put them on though cuz its a pain in the *** to take on and off everytime you get out of the car.If you dont take them off someone will steal them.
