need help removing transmission

I have a 97 5-speed and am removing my transmission. do i have to remove the support bar that goes from shifter to transmission housing. I unbolted both from the trans but the support bar doesn't move. do i have to unbolt it from the shifter side as well?

Nevermind I am an idiot. I didn't see the other bolt holding the bracket. Considering this is the biggest repair I've attempted I am doing pretty good so far.

Figured I'd add in a tip:

If your following the instructions in the fsm, haynes, or chiltons you can save a bunch of time/effort by ignoring the part about removing crossmember, y-pipe, and using a jack to support engine. Instead just unbolt the 4 bolts for the trannsmission mount instead of the one long bolt.
