of all the maximas ive seen ive never seen a gold vg-5-speed(seen a gold ve-5 though)and it seems all the brown , green and mint green ones are also auto only? what does everyone else think?

 

There's bronze which is very rare, although there's one about a mile from me but it's a gxe. I've never seen a gold 3rd gen, unless you're talking about pebble beige. Personally i've always liked silver but they're tough to find, they only came in silver from '89 to '90. Almost bought one a couple months ago, but the previous teenage owner had spray painted the interior white

 

They are probably out there. The members on this site only make up a very small percentage of 3rd gen owners. In fact, keelan (spipedong90) once owned an Aztec Red GXE, something I thought didn't exist.

I did a 3rd gen paint code thread a couple years ago, but I had to get info from a site I am not 100 percent reliable on the years. All the codes are correct, though:

i have a gold ve and my friend has a gold vg. i have also seen gold se riding around but im no sure if its a ve or vg or if its auto

 

theres a gold VG with digital dash, moon roof. automatic gxe, with tan leather in town from me. a little old lady owns it. 75k miles on it. she has my number for when she is gunna sell it. she told me around October cause she is moving in with her son.

 

Oh yeah, there's a gold gxe in the 91 sales brocheure.. I guess I just always assumed it was Pebble beige before.. It does have the red trunk reflector which is a good (but not 100%) indication of the digital package. Maybe the gold was only available on the gxe or a special color for the digital pack...

The table of options also doesn't show aztec red as an available color for the GXE. I've never seen or heard of one either Chris.. I guess they will special order almost anything for the right price though. My Mom used to tell me years back about a friend of hers who bought a new third gen with bright red leather, not maroon, but fire engine red, and they told her that if she didn't like it when it arrived then tough luck.

Keelan has a pic of his old GXE. I have seen the pic, but it has been like 3-4 years. He had an Aztec Red VE-5 like mine, but with no leather and no roof. Then, another friend of his had one, too. We went to a NWNissan meet in Beaverton with 3 VE 5-speeds.

Ive seen 2 or 3 aztec red gxe's. 1 was here in columbus and the others were in chicago junkyards. I even pulled a 110K injector out of one.
