Do you have dash lights on when you try to start it?
Do they dim also?
Have you tried checking the battery?

it seems to me that your Ignition switch is failing! This happens a lot to 4th gens, go to autozone and ask for part #LS812. It's an ignition switch for maximas that cost 49.99

is there anyway to test the ignition switch, when I test the signal wire to the starter it does not have 12v when the key is not in but with the key turned forward like you are trying to start the car it gets 12v

I ran a wire from the niod to the battery and the car cranks, is it possible the anti theft from the factory alarm is causing this

I am guessing this is a joke cause this thread has everything you need from links to part #'s but if not

test the starter to see if it works and if it's ok test the ignition cause it prob that and hurry up and go buy it before the store closes
