Timing chain kit-- whats comes in it?

ok so my car is having all kinds of issues right now. I took it to a mechanic and it turns out that I needed to replace the head gasket since the gasket blown...
what sux is that I went through all kinds of messures BEFORE to try to fix the over heating problem, including the radiotor, but that was a waste of time and money!

Now while the engine is open, the guy at the shop tells me that the timing chain also needs to be replaced. Now before i spend more money on this, is it worth getting the whole kit or should I just get the chains?

What exactly is included in the kit?

get a new engine instead. overheated & blown head gasket probably also means warped or cracked heads, warped block, etc.

also, if head gasket blew, coolant got into the oil & tore up your bearings & crank.

timing chain is the least of your worries.

don't throw a bunch of money into a damaged engine, only to have problems in the future. get a new engine instead.
