Are you happy with your choice to swap?

What 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile times are you running?

What mods do you have done to it?

(just a questionaire, I know some info I could search and have already, but especially with the 1/4 mile times not everyone posts up or has it in the timeslip database)

you dont find that many of the swappers post on the timeslip database because not all of them have gone to the track. Most of them arent even tuned for that matter. And all those questions HAVE been answered on the sticky asking who's done the swap and what mods. Please read a lil more next time

I dont really see how this is the wrong section as this is a 4th gen specific question.

Im looking for some new attention on this because truthfully I am worried about swapping in a 3.5 and running slower than what I could have run if I built the 3.0 a bit. I know it also depends on alot of factors, but Im unsure if Im willing to take that risk. I have to decide soon as my 3.0 crapped the bed.

Get a 3.5L. Cheaper and it has more potential.

I know you deff. have a point, roughly adding everything up it will be about the same price.

boring the block is about $200
.040 (+1mm) pistons and rings are about $300
Need a new oil pump $120-150
head gaskets $80-90
was going to swap in some 3.5 cams - $100 ish
Adapters $125

and thats like a basic basic list

Im happy with mine. Its been swapped for about 2 years and no problems, sans the stupid UDP (See the maintenance sticky for info on that). The power gain with just the raw swap is good and if you spend the money on an Emanage Ultimate its even sweeter.
