I'm changing the rear end of my 96 to the 97-99 look. And i wanted to know from those that have red/clears. What are the best ones to go with? The ebay outers(I have heard mixed things about these, that some people say they match, and some say they dont). The ebay full set, or make my own.

 

Either make your own or look in the group deals and 4th gen classifieds section. That's where I got mine from.

 

I prefer making my own and making the inners match as well.

I have seen the ebay ones and they don't match 100% but it is close.

 

I got mine from ewuzh who got them a few years back from CE. The match is 99% perfect. If you want the 100% the only way is to do the inners/outers with the same material by yourself....or try and find some CE ones.

 

Look at them at night, Ebay'rs let less light through. Day they look great (at least the ones I have).

 

Well if you're impatient like me, you will probably end up cracking/melting your lenses if you do it yourself...
